Finally settled into a fairly easy makeup routine over the last year or so. I don’t like to waste my time or money on things that aren’t going to be effective or make much of an improvement anymore. I misspent my youth on that. This is what I’ve been able to pare it down to:
MAC Face and Body
Use your fingers. It’s a watery formula and quite sheer so you can get a nice finish with only using your fingers to pat it on gently.
If you want to use a sponge, use a beautyblender Original or a much cheaper option, a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (2 sponges in each pack). A Beauty Blender specific sponge cleanser isn’t necessary either. Your basic foam cleanser works just fine and it takes a minute to wash it with soap after each use. I like Aveeno Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser For Sensitive Skin, 6 Fl. Oz
Lancôme eyelid primer
Urban Decay Naked palette #3
I’ve tried the original Naked palette and used it for a year before getting the Naked #3 palette. I don’t use the original anymore and use the #3 palette everyday instead. The rose golds and light pink tones are easy to wear and give subtle definition to your eyes without needing to wear any eyeliner.
Lancôme liquid eyeliner
If you’re Asian and have greasy hooded eyelids like mine, then this eyeliner with the Lancome eyelid primer will be a Godsend.
Benefit Hoola bronzer
It doesn’t make me look like an Oompa Loompa. Stylecaster did a post on the 10 Best YouTube Tutorials for Contouring.
MAC Dame blush
Cool tone light pink blush. Slight mauve tones.
Shiseido eyelash curler
Maybelline Great Lash waterproof mascara
Lancome eyebrow pencil
Shiseido eyeshadow with Chanel fine stubby brush for shading in the eyebrows lightly
